According to the official East Devon Youth League satistics, the U-17s used a total of 30 players for their eight matchs this season.  A copy of CWCC Colt's Manager, Bob Adams is reproduced below: -

  "Over the past season the Club entered an under 17’s team in the Bradley’s East Devon Youth League. We did not have a particularly good season with only one win from eight matches, although some of the games could have gone either way. It should however be pointed out that all of our players were under 16 or younger, therefore playing at least a year blow their age group. On a positive note two of the colts, namely Adam Frost and Ian Forbes-Brown were selected for the men’s league teams, acquitting themselves well. I feel that in addition to these players there are a few others who, with correct nurturing could also be useful club players, for the future. I would like to particularly thank one of the father’s, namely Nick Tripp who helped with transport and scoring. I would also like to thank those who helped me when I had problems on certain match days.

 For the forthcoming season, we have again entered a side in the under 17’s league and if things go well, we will be introducing coaching for under 10’s and if this is successful they will be playing under 10 softball pairs cricket friendlies and entering competitions later in the season. James Bogue, Phil Irish (both already qualified coaches) and Martin Bovey who would like to obtain the first level qualification are interested in helping run this and James Hope has offered to help with coaching. If everything comes to fruition we will be running this in conjunction with one or two junior schools. If anyone else is interested in helping with maintaining the future of the club, in whatever role, they are more than welcome to contact me."
